Immigration Attorney in Washington, DC
Capitol Law Partners' downtown office at 1200 G Street NW, two blocks from Metro Center, serves clients across the District, Maryland and Northern Virginia.
Capitol Law Partners is an immigration, business and estate planning law firm headquartered in Washington, DC. From our office at 1200 G Street NW we represent professionals, families, founders and employers across the District, suburban Maryland and Northern Virginia, and we work with clients in English, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese and French.
Immigration law is federal, so the cases we file from Washington are decided by USCIS, the Department of State and the immigration courts under the same rules nationwide. What our DC location adds is proximity: to the agencies and policy institutions many of our clients work with, to the USCIS Washington Field Office in Fairfax and the Arlington Asylum Office, and to the universities, hospitals, research labs and technology employers that bring advanced-degree professionals to the capital region.
Immigration services at our Washington, DC office
Many of our DC-area clients are researchers, engineers, physicians, economists, policy specialists and entrepreneurs. For them we prepare EB-2 National Interest Waiver and EB-1A self-petitions, H-1B and O-1 work visas, and L-1 transfers for multinational employers. For families we handle marriage-based green cards, I-130 petitions and fiancé visas. For people seeking protection we prepare Form I-589 asylum applications and defend clients in removal proceedings. When an agency has stalled a case, we file writ of mandamus lawsuits in federal court.
